“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” – Helen Keller
Hello Inspiration Maven,
The picture shared with this blog post is so very special to me. In it my smile is big, its clear that I’m having a great time, and we are dressed for fun as we make our way to Samba dance down Main Street in the Winter Carnival parade. What you don’t see is that I am on the verge of tears.
I am so present in this moment that I almost cry.
The music was fun, the thrill of what we were about to do was thick in the air, and I felt electric. I was so very alive in that moment. I credit this feeling of full body energy to some personal work that I’ve been doing. Today, I want to share my “Go To List of AWESOME!”
These are the regular contributors to my daily headspace. They bring me to the present and help me to see and be in the energy of the moment.
- Wild Ideas Worth Living podcast with Shelby Stanger – Shelby interviews some of the most inspiring and bold adventurers that have decided to take the lead in their lives. - NPR: How I Built This podcast with Guy Raz – Guy leads first person interviews with the movers and makers of what we live with everyday. Starbucks, Angie’s List, Dell Computers and The Home Depot to name a few. Talk about INSPIRING!!! “Host Guy Raz dives into the stories behind some of the world’s best known companies. How I Built This weaves a narrative journey about innovators, entrepreneurs, idealists, and the movements they built.”
- “The Universe Has Your Back” by Gabrielle Bernstein – Gabrielle says, “My commitment with this book is to wake up as many people as possible to their connection to faith and joy. In that connection, we can be guided to our true purpose: to be love and spread love. These words can no longer be cute buzz phrases that we merely post on social media. Rather, these words must be our mission. The happiness, safety, and security we long for lies in our commitment to love.”
These are just a few of the voices that I choose to fill my head, thoughts, and intentions with to make each moment special. To recognize that each moment is rare and unique and to be lived to its fullest.
I’ll be sharing more of the AWESOME-ness as I become acquainted with them.
Until then…. Safe Travels and many special moments to you!
